My name is Jamie Howard and I will be your child’s teacher for the duration of the school year! I was born and raised in beautiful Burbank, attending Edison Elementary, Jordan Middle School and John Burroughs High (class of 2010), and continued my studies at Pepperdine University in Malibu. I majored in Elementary Education while earning a teaching credential. For my student teaching, I completed one semester in a Kindergarten placement and another semester in a 4th Grade position. Both were in Thousand Oaks, California.
After my journey as a Pepperdine Wave, I moved to Huehuetenango, Guatemala for my first full year as a Music and PE teacher, teaching 1st Grade to 6th Grade. I had 80
students and would rotate grades every 40 minutes. You can read more about my journey under the tab, “Colegio Belingüe Esperanza.”
